My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pollie — a 4-year-old, 10-pound Maltese mix who is basically a walking marshmallow with attitude. She’s sweet, she’s spunky, and she struts around like she’s the CEO of Cuteness (and honestly, she kind of is).

Pollie loves other small dogs and enjoys having a little squad to hang out with. She’s the type to play chase one minute, then act like a dainty princess the next. And fair warning: once she decides you’re “her person,” she may try to guard you like a tiny, fluffy bodyguard. Don’t worry—it’s less “intense security” and more “excuse me, that’s my human you’re talking to.”

This girl is also working hard on her potty training. She’s making progress, but she’ll need someone patient and willing to cheer her on. Think of yourself as her personal life coach: “You can do it, Pollie! Bathroom… outside!”

Pollie loves cuddles, loves attention, and loves being told she’s adorable (which is great, because she hears it a lot). She’s got just enough sass to keep you laughing and just enough sweetness to melt your heart.

If you’re looking for a loyal, funny, affectionate companion who will fill your home with joy, snuggles, and occasional “tiny guard dog energy,” Pollie is ready to move in and run the place. 🐾💗

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
