Dakota's background is unknown. She takes a minute to warm up. She is shy and skittish around anything new but once she knows her family, she is all in. Most likely, she was kept outside or tied up. She is learning what furniture and toys are in her foster and is acclimating to her new surroundings and the human children in her foster home very well. Her foster mom says that she is such a wonderful girl.
Dakota needs a home where someone will give her the time she needs to warm up and not be scared anymore.
Older, well-behaved children are okay. We do not know how she is with cats. She has done well with dogs but can be selective with her space when it comes to dogs. Meets with other dogs are required.
She is chocolate brown with white and weighs about 43lbs.
