My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: Adult

Meet Cloudy and her friend Sunny! Cloudy looks like a pale blue sky with the sun peaking through, and Sunny is a beautiful bright sunshine yellow! These two sweet birds were surrendered to the shelter together and are looking for new homes! Budgies are happiest in groups, so if you`re currently bird free and looking to add some joy and song to your home, these two could be a great match. They have previously lived together and would likely do well in future. Cloudy and Sunny could also go to separate homes and join new flocks. Both birds are used to enjoying lots of free flight time out of their cage, and are comfortable being held once you gain your trust. (Although Cloudy can be a little grumpy about handling when she`s tired!) Sunny`s favourite toy is his bird swing, while Cloudy enjoys her bells! Come visit them today and see if they would fit well into your flock!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
