My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sugar is not available for adoption, BROC will support her needs for the rest of her life. If you would like to help support Sugar, please go to bichonrescueoc.org and click donate - Every donation makes a huge difference. At her wise and gentle age, Sugar has nothing left to proveexcept that love only grows sweeter with time. Shes a kind old soul with a wag that still lights up the room and a heart as soft as her name. Though her body is slowing down, her spirit shines bright, and she adores every cuddle, treat, and sunbeam nap. Sugar has given her whole life to being a loyal companion, and now she needs a little help in return. Your support will go toward her care, comfort, and the simple joys that make her golden years extra special. If youd like to be part of Sugars journey, every bit of kindness means the world to her. Please visit our website www.bichonrescueoc.org to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are housed in foster homes and may be seen by appointment by adopters who have completed our application process.
We hope to partner with our local pet stores for public viewing and we participate regularly in Adoption events like the Home for the Holidays events held annually in June and December at the Irvine Animal Care Center and the Pet Expo which occurs annually in April.

More about this rescue

Bichon Rescue of Orange County (BROC) was organized to address the ever increasing number of senior bichons and other small breeds that are being surrendered by their owners and dropped off at local shelters in Orange County. Through the Seniors for Seniors Program we are committed to cultivating our senior citizens both as volunteer fosters and as adopters. The Seniors for Seniors Program will encourage qualified Senior adopters to adopt senior pups.
We have over fifteen years of combined history in rescue and a team of dedicated volunteers, committed to our Mission.
