My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zoey - A Resilient Little Queen Ready for Her Forever Home!

Zoey's journey hasn't been an easy one. She was found as a starving stray, and had clearly been on her own for far too long. With gentle care and a refeeding program to help her safely regain her strength, this brave girl is now eating normally, feeling better, and officially ready to start the next chapter of her life, one filled with comfort, affection, and all the spoiling she deserves.

Zoey is a classic tortie. Loving, affectionate, full of personality, and absolutely unafraid to let you know what she likes (and what she doesn't). She enjoys being close to her humans, and will thrive in a calm, loving environment where she can relax and continue putting on healthy weight.

Zoey needs a home with no other cats. She prefers being the queen of her castle and isn't interested in sharing her humans or her space. She also must be kept indoors, outdoor life was hard on her.

If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, and attitude, Zoey might just be your perfect match. Come meet this resilient girl and let her show you how special she is.

If you think you could provide the right home for Zoey, please fill out an adoption application below:

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
