Say hello to Franklin, AKA Frankie! Frankie is an approximately five-year-old male Chihuahua mix, weighing around 11-pounds. Frankie was abandoned on a patio after his family moved out and left him behind. Despite his sad past, Frankie is a happy and friendly dog. He enjoys meeting new people and loves attention and pets. Frankie has a moderate energy level and is social with other dogs in the play yard and enjoys walks. Frankie already knows "sit" and "paw" and will show off his tricks for a treat.Frankie is listed as "special needs" because he has a possible seizure history. He was observed having one seizure shortly after being rescued. We have closely monitored him and taken him to our vet, where all testing was negative. The vet believes the best course of action at this time is to continue to monitor Frankie but not to place him on seizure medications unless another seizure occurs. Some seizures can be stress-induced and Frankie certainly has had a lot of stress and changes lately in his life. Potential adopters should be aware of Frankie's medical history and willing to vet and treat any future seizure incidences if they occur. Frankie's adoption fee includes his neuter surgery, vaccinations up to date including Rabies certificate, and microchip.
