Sweet Baby is a 6-month-old female Redbone Hound mix weighing around 42 pounds. She came to safety as a young pup with her mom and siblings after being rescued from a very difficult situation. Despite her rough start, Sweet Baby has grown into an incredibly sweet and affectionate girl.

Sweet Baby is still a nervous pup and will need a patient, understanding adopter, but she is making wonderful progress every day. She plays beautifully with other dogs and gains a lot of confidence from their presence. Sweet Baby will need to be in a home that has another dog to continue to build her confidence. She has done well with cats in her foster home and is already house trained, having had no accidents once she learned her routine.

While she’s more confident outdoors than inside, Sweet Baby has recently started joining her people on the couch—a big milestone for this shy girl. With time, consistency, and love, her confidence continues to grow.

Sweet Baby will thrive in a calm, supportive home that’s willing to let her warm up at her own pace. In the right environment, she’s going to be a truly wonderful and loyal companion.
