Hi there, I’m Delilah!
I’m a sweet, loving girl searching for a family to cuddle with. My absolute favorite hobbies include lounging on cozy beds, curling up on a pile of blankets, and my personal specialty sleeping in bed. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, I just might be your girl!
I come equipped with big, adorable ears that are perfect for scratches, and I never say no to a full-body rubdown. Physical touch is definitely my love language can you blame me with ears this cute?
When I’m relaxed, I’ll sometimes let out little moans and groans my foster aunties joke that I sound like a tiny cow.
I’m not kennel trained, but I do well staying in my foster auntie’s office with the door closed when they are out, and I sleep through the night there. I may bark for a few minutes while I settle, but I quickly calm down and snooze on my bed or enjoy licking a Kong. In my previous home, I was trusted to have free roam when no one was home and overnight.
As a Blue Tick Hound, I have that classic hound bark and bay. I don’t use it often, but if you’re running behind on filling my food bowl, I will politely remind you. Because of this wonderful hound voice, I’d likely do best in a home without shared walls.
I enjoy walks and do fairly well overall, but I still need a little practice on the leash and occasional reminders not to pull. I’m good with other dogs, and I can coexist with some cats—I may just need some support as we get used to each other.
My previous home mentioned some resource guarding around bones and toys, though my foster family hasn’t seen this behavior so far.
If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly companion who wants nothing more than to be near you, I’d love to meet you. Maybe we’re the perfect match!
Deliliah is from an Owner Surrender. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
