Cute chihuahua Van Gogh is a peoples’ dog for sure, choosing to be practically inseparable from his humans. This little guy is so enterprising that he followed a group of dog walkers from a local rescue back to the facility (so in a way, he rescued himself!). Van Gogh is a peppy little senior, seeming more on the puppy side of the fence than you’d expect, and he likes to zip around and explore new surroundings (with his person in tow of course). Van Gogh is a vocal little guy, so he’ll let you know how he feels (and don’t worry, he has both of his ears!). If you’re looking for a constant companion who will stick to you like glue, Van Gogh and meet him today!
Here's some notes from his foster:
Van Gogh is such an awesome guy and his demeanor is incredibly loving, friendly and curious! He’s been with us for four days and has adjusted exceptionally well and already seems to understand our routines.
Van Gogh is fabulous with other dogs! He has been great with my two senior girls, very respectful. And we’ve met many other dogs on our walks (big and small) and he greets all of them calmly and respectfully. Same with humans.
He’s a pleasure to walk, good on leash and I was able to walk all three dogs pretty easily. Van Gogh is great about going potty in the yard or on walks. He’s definitely food motivated, likes his meals and treats. Van Gogh is extremely agile and can handle stairs and long walks and with his long legs he can jump pretty high.
He LOVES to snuggle and cuddle and is on my lap as I write this! At night he has been sleeping on my bed with my other 2 pups - each with a specific spot and he sleeps through the night. I left him today for 4 hours with no problems, he slept on the couch and did not cry or bark (could see this with pet cams).
He will make a wonderful companion as he’s truly the sweetest lil man and so cute with his golden tan locks, white-ish face and feet and golden brown eyes.
