Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Buddy—the SMILEY guy with a heart as big as his grin. Buddy came to the shelter when his person lost their home, and despite the upheaval, he remains the SWEETEST, most loving boy. He’s a champion snuggler, a pro at giving kisses, and the mellowest cuddle buddy… unless he spots you or realizes it’s time for an adventure! Buddy can be a little shy and nervous at first, but he warms up quickly to people of all ages. He LOVES to lie beside you (or even on his back!) during nap or bedtime. He also has a soft spot for stuffed animals. He’s housetrained and enjoys agility, quiet time, walks, toys, tug, and splashing in the water. He does well with other dogs—though a meet and greet is recommended—and he’s also good with cats. If you need a gentle, affectionate best friend, Buddy’s your guy. Come meet him and let that smile win you over!

The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon to 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events). You can meet our adoptable animals with the convenience of an appointment or as a walk-in. Appointments can be made by emailing adoption@wilcotx.gov.
In addition to our main shelter at 1855 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626, you can also meet adoptable dogs at our satellite location, the Red Poppy Adoptique, located at 110 W L Walden Dr, Georgetown, TX 78626.
Interested in fostering a dog in need? Join our foster team at www.wilcotx.gov/390/Fostering and click on `Foster Questionnaire.`
Looking for a fun way to make a difference? Try our Doggy Day Out program! Take one of our pups on an adventure for a few hours-giving them a much-needed break from the shelter while you enjoy some quality time. The program runs at both locations daily starting at noon.
We always welcome your dogs to come and meet our dogs, too! We`ll see you soon at either location!
