My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi!  My name is Daphne and me and my siblings are all looking for forever homes.  Us and our mom were picked up and taken to a small animal shelter after being abandoned in a ditch where our mom was desperately trying to take care of us.  Our momma continued to take really good care of us at the shelter until we were weaned and then one of the shelter folks contacted a small rescue to see if they could take us in.  We are now starting our next journey into finding our own forever homes (our momma is being taken care of and will be spayed shortly).  A volunteer with that rescue reached out to BCAA to see if they could help us and they said yes ... yeah!  In the meanwhile, we have entered into a Dog Prison Program where we are being socialized and learning basic stuff like sitting and walking on leash which will give us a leg-up when we each get to our new home.  Right now in our pictures we are around 8 weeks old and we will be available to meet December 13th which will make us almost 11weeks old.  We are all between 8-10lbs and based on mom's smaller size at just under 40lbs, it is guessed that we will be around 40-45lbs when full grown.  As puppies, we will need continued training and socialization to make our momma proud and become great adult dogs just like her.  If you would like to meet me or one of my siblings, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.

More about this rescue

We are the Burlington County Animal Alliance (BCAA)located in Central New Jersey. We are a non-profit organization 501(3)(c), all volunteer rescue that saves animals from our local shelter and surrounding areas of New Jersey that are in danger of being euthanized. We take them into our program, get them the necessary medical care they need and adopt them back out to loving forever homes. We have 60 volunteers, many that open their homes to foster the homeless animals, we do fundraisers to raise money so we can continue to save the dogs and cats in need. We run strictly on donations from our adoptions and people who support our work.BCAA adopts to families in New Jersey, parts of Southeastern Pennsylvania and parts of New York.
