Abbie was found wandering the streets all alone. She is such a sweet, young girl that didn't deserve that fate. We have searched and searched for a possible owner in case she was truly missing but no one came forward. She has had her vet appointment and is spayed, microchipped, heartworm tested (negative), has had one Parvo/Distemper shot so she will need two more to complete the series and has her rabies shot. So this girl is ready to begin her new forever! She is happy and playful with some spunk. She has been friendly right up front with everyone she has met so far. She currently weighs 7.8 lbs with her ideal weight being 9-10 lbs. Her adoption fee is $350. If interested in adopting her, please GO TO pawspaws.org TO COMPLETE THE PAWS APPLICATION. Be sure to read the questions carefully and answer all questions in detail. We will need to know if your pet or pets are up to date on shots and heartworm preventative and will need to know the name of the heartworm preventative. We will need this information even if your pet is deceased or you no longer have it. We also need the name, address and PHONE NUMBER for the vet where records can be verified. Approve Application
Once we receive the application, we will process it and call you if approved to set up a meet and greet.

Meet the Pet
If we feel you are a good match, we will complete the Adoption Contract,review with you, and collect the adoption fee.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Then we will send you and your new family member home!

Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
