My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Biscuit! 🖤🐾

Biscuit is a wonderfully handsome 55-lb Black Lab mix with the sweetest face and a heart full of love. This adorable boy is very cute, incredibly sweet, and ready to be someone’s new best friend.

Biscuit loves people, enjoys attention, and has that classic Lab charm that makes him impossible not to adore. Whether he’s wagging his tail, leaning in for affection, or bouncing around with happy energy, he brings joy wherever he goes.

If you’re searching for a kind, lovable, fun companion who’s ready to grow, learn, and share every adventure with his forever family, Biscuit is your boy! 🖤

You can view our available animals online or by visiting the shelter during regular business hours. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff are here to guide you through the adoption process, which includes completing an application and having a conversation to ensure you’re fully informed and prepared to welcome a new pet into your home.

If you find an animal on our website that you’re interested in, we kindly ask that you visit the shelter to meet them in person before submitting your application. This helps ensure the best possible match for both you and the animal.

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
