Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lexi 💕
Lexi came to us with the help of our humane agent, and this sweet, silly girl has already stolen our hearts. She’s full of personality and joy, and it’s clear she’s so ready to leave her past behind and start the next chapter of her life.
Lexi is still a little skinny, a quiet reminder of the tough battle she’s fought but don’t let that fool you. Her spirit is strong, her tail wags non stop, and her love for people shines through. She can’t wait to find her forever home where she can finally relax, feel safe, and be spoiled the way she deserves.
Lexi dreams of a home filled with love, comfy spots to nap, lots of affection, and plenty of good meals to help her fill out and thrive. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who’s ready to give you her whole heart, Lexi may be the perfect match for you. 🐾

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton is proud to be a no-kill animal welfare agency. We are committed to finding great homes for great pets! As a 501(c)(3) nonproft, we receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from individuals, companies and grants to fund our programs and services. We are not affiliated with any other animal agency on a local, state or national level. Since 1902, our organization has been devoted to being a voice for the voiceless. Although we proudly find more than 2,000 animals forever homes every year, we are far more than an adoption center. We currently have a wide array of programs to support animals in our community. Through our high-volume spay and neuter clinic, we are able to help pet owners as well as battle cat overpopulation through Trap-Neuter-Return. Our humane society agents also work tirelessly to protect pets from cruel and neglectful circumstances through our Cruelty & Neglect Investigations Department. Through our Veterinary Hospital, we can provide top-quality access to veterinary care at a low cost to pet owners. In addition to our many programs, our organization is unique because we are the only agency in the community able to handle all types of animals. This includes cats and dogs but also rabbits, birds, farm animals, pocket pets and exotics. Our organization is committed to providing our community, our state and our region with support and care.
