My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Tuffy, a 2-year-old Pomeranian mix who is 10.5 pounds of fluff, personality, and pure devotion. This friendly, outgoing little guy has one goal in life: to be close to his person. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow with a happy heart, Tuffy is your boy.

Tuffy is making progress with his house training and currently uses a belly band. He does great in a crate and sleeps through the night after a little initial barking and whining. He enjoys hanging out around the house, running laps indoors, brief walks (when it’s not too chilly!), and playing with other dogs. He also loves car rides, sitting in your lap, and following you everywhere you go.

This agile little fox has some impressive moves—his foster mom says he’s cat-like and can be perched on the back of your couch before you even notice. He can also climb gates, not to be naughty, but simply because he wants to be near his people. He’s good with dogs of all sizes and friendly with everyone he meets. He hasn’t been around children yet.

Tuffy would do well in just about any environment, as long as he has someone who wants a loyal companion by their side. If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate pup who will love you endlessly, Tuffy is ready to wiggle his way right into your heart. His minimum adoption fee is $400 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.

He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
