Meet Guinivere
In the heart of East Texas, where the dense forest and wildlife reign supreme, a heartwarming tale of resilience and survival unfolds. Guinivere and her three siblings were discovered as tiny pups, abandoned at the tender age of 6 weeks on a one-lane forest road at the perilous hour of 9 PM. The odds were stacked against them—feral hogs, coyotes, and other predators roamed the area, posing a significant threat to their survival. Yet, against all odds, these pups persevered.
A Rough Start
Abandoned without a care, these pups were left to fend for themselves in a world where even finding a scrap of food seemed impossible. The unfortunate practice of "dump & go" that some East Texans engage in reflects a troubling disregard for the well-being of these helpless animals. One can't help but hope that those responsible for such acts come to realize the consequences of their actions.
A New Beginning
Despite their rough start, Guinivere and her siblings have received all the care and attention they deserve. They've been given wormer, three sets of vaccines, neopar, heartworm preventatives, microchips, and have now been spayed or neutered and vaccinated against rabies.
Ready for Adoption
These evaluations are complete, and the pups are now ready to find their forever homes. Guinivere and her siblings have been described as dog and people-friendly, smart little buggers who are eager to become cherished members of a family.
Breed and Characteristics
At seven months old and weighing in at 18 pounds, Guinivere is a mix of Pointing Griffon and Plott Hound, though she didn't inherit the wire-haired coat typical of the Griffon. Her unique blend of breeds makes her not only striking in appearance but also imbued with a blend of characteristics that promise to make her a delightful companion.
Conclusion
Guinivere and her siblings are a testament to resilience and the power of care and compassion. They're now poised to bring joy and love to their future families, ready to embark on the next chapter of their lives. If you're searching for a devoted companion, consider opening your heart and home to one of these wonderful pups. They are ready and eager to be your next family member.
