My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Arlo!

This 10-month-old male Lab mix is a lively bundle of love and energy. Arlo
is super dog-friendly and absolutely adores playing with his furry pals.
While he`s sweet and affectionate with people, he`d much rather spend his
time having fun with other dogs.

Playful and energetic, Arlo loves toys and is always ready for a game. He`s
great on leash after he`s had some exercise - a perfect partner for daily
walks, runs, or hikes. Gentle with treats and eager to please, though he
does need some training to help him grow into his full potential.

Arlo is best suited for homes with kids 12 and older who can keep up with
his active lifestyle. A big treat lover who thrives on attention and
affection, Arlo is a loyal, playful, and energetic companion ready to join
you on your outdoor adventures!

Arlo got to go on a Doggy Day Out at the Railyard Market and did great! Click here to watch a short video of him in action! https://youtube.com/shorts/FeaKMm_rMMM?si=mANRTG5Tyg4Xqzrs

More about this shelter

The City of Albuquerque Animal Welfare Department’s mission is to protect and serve the pets and people of Albuquerque by providing Caregiving, Awareness, Resources, Enforcement and Service excellence.

AWD is always in need of foster homes for our pets who need time to grow, recovery from illness or injury or in need of a break from the shelter. Foster homes increase our capacity to provide services to homeless pets in our community. If you would like to donate toys, towels and milk-bones are always in need. Volunteer opportunities are also available at our shelters.
