Ares has spent too long waiting, and this sweet boy does not deserve to spend his golden years in a shelter kennel 💔 He deserves soft beds, fresh air, and a person who will love him as much as he loves everyone he meets.
Ares is a stunning black German Shepherd Mix, about 9 years old and 80lbs, with a heart of gold. He has been an absolute HIT in our hiking program and quickly becomes everyone’s favorite. On the trail, his mission is simple. Find the biggest stick possible and proudly carry it the whole way! 🌲
What to know about Ares:
✔️ Incredibly sweet with people
✔️ Does well with larger, well-mannered dogs. Especially females.
✔️ Such a gentleman and walks great on a leash!
✔️ Knows 'sit' and 'lay down'
✔️ Can get in the car on his own and settles down nicely for rides
✔️ Cinder Hills Kennel Approved
Ares would do best in a home with no cats or livestock due to his prey drive. He is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy some playtime, easy walks, calm companionship, and finally have a place to call home. 🏡
