My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Loki is a big handsome boy with the sweetest brown eyes. He was rescued after being abandoned when his owner passed away. Loki was neutered and updated on his vaccinations in early October and came to Dogwerks for socialization and training. He was in tough shape physically a bit thin and with thinning hair and scaly skin especially on his rear, but in even tougher shape mentally with fear of both people and dogs and no leash skills. He would resist almost everything by throwing himself to the ground and using his weight to say NO!

Loki has come a long way in a few weeks of training. He is hiking off leash in groups of 10-15 dogs who ride loose together in a van. He no longer gets jumpy or defensive when dogs are near but is still a bit timid and would benefit from a calm canine buddy who could help him build his confidence. Loki has learned his basic commands and walks well on a loose leash. He’s a sweet boy with a good heart who would love to build trust with a strong/calm human leader. Marielle at Dogwerks will provide two hours of one on one training with Loki’s new owner at no cost.

Go meet their pets

Life Savers Animal Rescue has no physical shelter. Animals are housed in foster homes, so in order to meet a dog, an online application must first be completed and processed and approved. Then a meet and greet will be arranged. This process may be delayed should there be many applicants for one dog, so your patience is appreciated.
