Tails is a 3-year-old, 49-lb Dutch Shepherd mix who came to the shelter as a stray on 9/25. She arrived with an injured tail, which has since been repaired by our medical team, and she’s healed beautifully.
Tails is a sweet, affectionate girl who is easy to handle and walks well on leash. She knows “sit” and takes treats gently. She is dog friendly and enjoys spending time with people.

ADOPTIONS MUST BE MADE IN PERSON at Fort Worth Chuck Silcox Animal Care and Control OR the specified PetSmart location. Please refer to the pet you are interested by their animal ID number; not their stated name. Adopters will be asked to complete an adoption application and provide valid ID showing that they are at least 18 years old.
The adoption fee is $49.00 for dogs and $25.00 for cats. The fee includes vaccinations, a city license, spay/neuter, a microchip and a heartworm test. The shelter will not release the adopted pet until after it has provided these services. Exceptions may be granted due to age, health or injury.
