My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Vincent is a 11 month handsome, neutered male who carries himself with the quiet elegance of a Maine Coon mix — complete with a beautiful fluffy mane and soulful eyes that tell you everything you need to know about his gentle heart.

Vincent is a bashful boy who likes to take his time making sure the world around him is safe before he steps forward to say hello. He isn’t the type to rush into new friendships, but once he feels comfortable, you’ll see what a kind, soft, and truly sweet cat he is. He deserves a loving home for the holidays… and forevermore.

He has lived peacefully with many other cats, and — as always — slow, thoughtful introductions help everyone feel secure.

Here at UPAWS, our shy cats hold a special place in our hearts. They may not be the first to run to the door, but once they trust you, the bond is incredibly rewarding. Vincent is one of those special souls.

If you have patience, kindness, and room in your heart for a gentle, gorgeous kitty who just needs a chance, Vincent might be the one you’ve been waiting for.

More about this shelter

We are a local non-profit organization run and staffed by your neighbors. We make decisions on caring for homeless, unwanted, abandoned and abused domestic animals based on what we believe is best for them. We have no affiliation with any larger group and we receive no funding from any larger group that might influence our decisions or actions.

We advocate only for the animals in our care to help them find their forever home with you.

UPAWS does not receive operating funds from any governmental agency. We rely on donations from our neighbors and friends to make our efforts possible. We save consistently 98% of the animals who come to us – which is an award-winning success story. We want to educate everyone on proper animal care so there soon won’t be the three percent who come to us too sick or wounded to be saved. It’s your support that makes this dream possible.
