My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WILLOW
Fostered in Sarnia, ON
Approx. 4.5 months old
Black Lab Mix
Adoption Fee: $700
UTD on vaccinations • Will be spayed prior to adoption
Meet Willow, a gentle, tender-hearted puppy who’s already showing what a loving and loyal companion she’s destined to be. At just 4.5 months old, Willow is on the timid side at first — but give her a little patience, kindness, and a soft voice, and you’ll watch her affectionate personality shine. Once she trusts you, she becomes the sweetest cuddlebug who loves nothing more than snuggling in close
Willow enjoys spending time outside, whether she’s sunbathing quietly or exploring the yard at her own pace. She’s also discovering the joy of play — stuffies and balls are quickly becoming her new favourites, and it’s adorable to watch her confidence grow each day
She has wonderful manners for her age:
Almost fully potty trained
Walks nicely on leash
Very gentle with food
Working hard on crate training — a few initial whimpers, but she always settles into a calm, quiet girl once she feels safe
Not cat tested or kid tested (but with proper introduction, we see no issues)
Willow does well with other dogs, though she may be timid during first introductions.
If you’re looking for a soft-souled, eager-to-learn pup who just wants to feel safe, loved, and part of a family, Willow may be the perfect match. With the right person by her side, she’s ready to blossom into something truly special.

More about this rescue

Baladi & Sled Dog Rescue of Ontario is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, providing veterinary care, and finding loving homes for dogs from the dog sledding industry. We also extend our reach locally by rescuing stray dogs and cats from Indigenous communities that we partner with.

Our rescue began saving street dogs and cats, AKA Baladis, in Egypt. Since the important on animals ban implemented in 2022, we are no longer allowed to bring animals into Canada from Egypt. Our efforts, however, expand globally, as we continue to help support the placement of Baladi's in Egyptian shelters.
