Darcy is a shy sweetheart who will steal your heart. She’s a little nervous around strangers, but a few treats will help you earn her trust. Once she warms up, she shows her playful and affectionate side. She loves fetch and playtime with her dog friends, however she hasn’t been around children or cats yet. She’s still learning about the world and can be timid in new environments, so she’ll need someone patient who can reassure her. When she’s scared, she’ll hide behind your legs, and when she’s excited, she may jump up for a hug. Darcy also loves to chew, so she’ll need plenty of toys to keep her busy. With a little love and patience, she’ll blossom into a loyal companion who melts your heart with her puppy-dog eyes.

More about this shelter
PAWS is people helping animals. We are the kind of people who delight in the company of an animal friend, who are awed by a majestic eagle in flight. Like you, we understand that animals enrich our lives. We also know they cannot speak for themselves and need protection. That is why PAWS brings together people like you to ensure animals are respected, safe and have a voice.
Our Mission: PAWS is a champion for animals—rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife, sheltering and adopting homeless cats and dogs, and educating people to make a better world for animals and people.
We operate a shelter for cats and dogs and a wildlife rehabilitation center, and offer a comprehensive education program.
