My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

️  Meet Everest — Small Dog, BIG Personality!  ️

Say hello to Everest! This 10-month-old, 25 lb mixed-breed cutie is a happy, playful boy with short little legs and a whole lot of love to give. He may look bigger in photos, but in real life he’s a compact, adorable short stack — and he’s expected to grow very little, if at all!

Everest is a dog-lover through and through. He adores dogs of all sizes and play styles and can easily keep up with the big dogs while still knowing how to adjust his energy. Snow days? His favorite!  ❄️  Watching him play in the snow is guaranteed to make you smile.

He’s met cats and was curious but polite, respecting their space when they asked for it. Everest also loves all people and would be thrilled to have kids in his forever home to play and laugh with.

This smart boy is very trainable and listens well when corrected. He loves toys, enjoys being active, and once he’s gotten his playtime in, he’s perfectly happy to curl up on the couch for some quality snuggle time.  ️

Everest is fully crate trained and mostly house trained — just a few accidents here and there as he settles into a new routine. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and preventatives, and heartworm negative.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, snuggly, dog-friendly companion with a joyful personality and little legs that go a long way, Everest is ready to climb right into your heart!  ✨

We are PA Caring for K-9's, an all-breed dog rescue that is solely run by volunteers. Most of our dogs are rescued from high kill shelters in the South. If the dog is posted, they are still available! Once arriving, these dogs enter foster homes, as we do not have a shelter. We cannot adopt out dogs to a home with dogs that are not fixed or up to date on shots. If interested in adopting, please submit an application online at www.pack9rescue.org. Our adoption fee for altered dogs is $350 and goes directly to saving the lives of more dogs.  Our adoption fee for unaltered puppies will be $400 which includes a refundable $50 deposit upon receipt of spay/neuter certificate.
