Almond is a sweet, sensitive girl who may need a little time to feel safe, but once she knows you, her gentle personality really shines. After she warms up, Almond happily approaches for soft pets and leans in for affection. She also has a playful, bouncy side that comes out with the people she trusts, offering cute play bows and lighthearted energy. With patience and a calm introduction, Almond blossoms into a loyal, loving companion who just wants to be close to her person.

At SDHS:
Almond has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Almond is now ready for her new home!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.
