Meet Wednesday
Wednesday is a tiny terrier/chihuahua mix with a big, brave heart—she’s just still learning how to use it. She came to Colorado from Portales, New Mexico, after a very rough start to life, and everything in this new world is brand-new to her. She’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and curious… but also extremely shut down as she figures out what it means to feel safe.
Wednesday likely never had a collar, harness, or leash before arriving here, and you can see that in how carefully she approaches the outdoors. Right now, she’s working hard on feeling comfortable going outside, and she has a spacious indoor playpen with potty pads while she builds her confidence. She will need a patient adopter with a calm, quiet home—and ideally a securely fenced yard—so she can explore at her own pace without pressure.
She’s not ready for adventures yet, but she is ready for someone who sees her potential. Someone who understands that tiny steps are big wins, and that trust is something you earn slowly, gently, and with a lot of love.
