Here's what the humans have to say about me:

June Bug is a sweet and loving hound mix that came to the rescue with her sister Bea as an owner relinquishment. Her estimated birthday is 5/1/25.

June is making quick progress with crate training, potty training, and basic obedience. She loves spending time outside and would make a great walking/ hiking partner. June can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly, epically if offered treats.
June can be competitive with food around other dogs. Though she has not exhibited any aggression it is recommended she had a space away from other pets to enjoy high value treats.

June is expected to be a large dog and does have quite the vocal range when she gets excited. She will be available for foster to adopt until her spay at the end of December. Her adoption fee is $300.

Once your application has been received, we will evaluate it as a potential match for the given animal and, if your application is selected, we will proceed to call your references and then conclude with a home check and meet and greet scheduled by you at your home. For applicants out of area, the home check may be conducted via video call before the meet and greet.

More about this rescue

From the day we could talk we told our pets more than we ever told our parents. We took the long route to see the kitty in the window down the street. We stopped even when we were late to pet the dog. We grew up and we saw what the world does to those who can't defend themselves. We are here to change that.

Ethical rescue, including fully vetting every animal and carefully placing them all into homes matched to their physical and mental needs is what we do.

Respecting all life, both animal and human, while retaining an underlying goal of keeping animals in their homes. and fostering a sense of community between local shelters and rescues is how we do it.
