Shaggy is a handsome 2-year old male Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on November 30, 2025 by a Good Samaritan who had found him on State Route 550 in the Marietta Ohio area. Shaggy was wearing a collar (and also a flea collar) but there wasn't any identification on his collar, and he was not microchipped. Shaggy was accompanied by a young male black Labrador Retriever mix who has been given the name Scooby.
This good-looking guy has a chocolate brown curly-haired coat, a long tail, and an adorable face with brown 'teddy bear' eyes, a large muzzle, a chocolate/liver-colored nose, and large floppy ears which are fringed with curls.
Shaggy has a friendly personality .. And has a reputation for being an escape artist.
These pictures of Shaggy were taken on December 1st and December 5th. Shaggy chose to continue his afternoon naps and to bask in the sunshine for his impromptu photo sessions.
Shaggy weighs 30 lbs.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Shaggy was held for the mandatory three-day stray hold so that his family would have an opportunity to reclaim him with proof of ownership. Surprisingly nobody called or came looking for this little gentleman.
