My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petra!! Here is an update from her Foster Family!!

🎀Introducing Petra, a beautiful, energetic, playful, funny, happy, mischievous, 3 year old, compact 50 lb mixed breed dog looking for her forever home 🏡!

❤️ She loves long walks🦮, is the featured athlete at the dog park, loves dogs and people alike, is fully housebroken, amuses herself (and us) playing with her toys and is well behaved and comes in a beautiful package. She’s is ready to find her forever home, in all respects.

❤️We’ve had the pleasure to fostering her for less than 2 days and she already has 4 nicknames, wiggly butt, little one, sweet pea, bub. We love her and believe you will too, come see her shining personality. She would thrive best with an active family.

🫶Thank you to her Foster family!!!

More about this shelter

A not-for-profit organization, Monroe County Friends of Animals help the County by raising funds to build a new facility for our animals. It is called the Eastbourne Animal Center and has now replaced the old Monroe County Animal Shelter. They provide volunteers, fundraising events, grant writing and more. There is always a need for more volunteers. With a small budget, donations are a welcome necessity. We have developed educational programs to promote spay/neuter and humane care of all animals.
