Chiquita Clayton was confiscated by Animal Control and taken to Orange County Animal Care. We welcomed her as a Frosted Face on December 8th. She is 6 years old and weighs 15.5 lbs.
Despite the recent upheaval in Chiquita's life, it's clear that she was once a loved companion, as she is very friendly, likes to sit in laps, and gives gentle kisses. Chiquita has lots of pep in her step on our weekly FFF hikes.
Chiquita is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling for the holidays, soaking up lots of love while we learn what she's like in a home.
Her Fling Mom shared:
"Chiquita is settling in well. Here's what I've learned about her so far:
* She loves toys and likes to play. She has even gotten my dog to play with her.
* She's completely potty-trained and sleeps through the night.
* She rides nicely in the car.
* She sits quietly while I prepare her meals and eats well.
* She likes to walk but I don't think there's been much training. We're working on that, and she watches my dog for cues. If my dog lets the person pet her, then she'll allow a pet or two. The more often she sees the same people, the more comfortable she becomes.
Chiquita is a total lovebug at night. She sleeps in my bed along with my dog, and they both curl up against me."
