Dionne has a special talent for making friends, with other cats. She enjoys lounging in a sunbeam, her calmer nature shines through. If you already have a cat at home, Dionne could be the perfect companion to bring love and camaraderie into your household.

Cats are often thought of as solitary creatures, but many felines actually crave social interaction. Having another cat in the household can stimulate their minds, encourage play, and help them develop essential social skills. By adopting Dionne, you’re not just gaining a new pet; you’re also providing a loving companion for your current cat. Dionne would not do well as a single cat. 

Dionne is affectionate and loves to snuggle on her own terms, of course! Dionne does love affection but does not like being picked up. She accepts affection so long as her 4 paws are on a surface.

For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. All animals are currently in MS. Mississippi is overpopulated with too many animals, not enough adopters, and many high kill shelters. For Pet's Sake Rescue saves each animal from a different background. 

***Breed input is required for each platform but is not guaranteed to be accurate. We do not DNA test. We rescue animals from different situations.We discuss breed assignments with our vets to label them as accurately as possible.***

For Pet's Sake Rescue transports animals to other states for better adoption potential. Our goal is to keep animals alive and out of kennels into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Each animal is quarantined and vetted during their time in our care. Each adopted pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and has current flea treatment unless otherwise noted.

Once we review your application and check your vet reference, we will contact you to proceed. If both parties agree to the adoption, we will send you an Adoption Contract with an invoice. Once the invoice is paid, your pet is "on hold" for you to pick up or we can transport the pet to a designated location closer to you via transport. Transports are arranged for specific dates. We will discuss these dates and locations with you during the initial phone call. 

We are currently unable to adopt pets to MA and RI residents.
