My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Cheerio!

🐾 Breed: Domestic Shorthair
🐾 Colour: Orange Tabby & White
🐾 DOB: Sep 6/25 (approx. 3 months old)
🐾 Gender: Male

Cheerio is a warm, gentle little kitten with a big purr and an even bigger heart. He’s a typical playful kitten-zooming after toys, wrestling with his siblings, and investigating everything. Once he’s used up all his energy, Cheerio turns into a total sweetheart who loves nothing more than snuggling up for a nap.

He gets along wonderfully with his siblings, loves human attention, and has that irresistible orange-tabby charm that makes him instantly lovable.

Cheerio is:

✅ Litter-trained
✅ Microchipped
✅ In foster with kids & other cats
✅ Vaccinations in progress*
✅ Will be neutered when old enough*

*He is part of MAR’s Foster-to-Adopt program

If you’d like to apply to adopt Cheerio, please visit our website and fill out an application: www.muskokaanimalrescue.com

As we are a rescue group, we don't have a shelter, just loving foster homes throughout Muskoka.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.

We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.

We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a virtual home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.

We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
