My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seriously… just look at this guy! Lloyd isn’t a breed we see often at the shelter, so we’ll admit we were a little extra excited when he strutted in with all those wrinkles! Lloyd is friendly, with a sweet personality but he can be a tad shy at first; it doesn’t take long before his sweet personality shines through. He came to us with his buddy Reese, and the two previously lived together—they truly get along wonderfully. Here in the shelter, Lloyd has been calm and non-reactive toward other dogs, so he may enjoy having a canine companion in his new home as well. As always, we’re happy to provide a meet-and-greet to help everyone get acquainted. One of Lloyd’s absolute favorite things in the world? Butt scratches. Give him a good scratch and you’ll be rewarded with the cutest wiggles you’ve ever seen. He absolutely melts for attention and loves being close to his people. Lloyd appears to be potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and already knows “sit.” We’re confident he’d pick up more tricks easily—he’s attentive and eager to please. He enjoys quality time, simple joys, and a balance of playfulness without being overwhelming. Because we’re not sure if Lloyd has lived with children or small animals, we recommend slow, thoughtful introductions to set everyone up for success. Lloyd is just a sweet, lovable boy looking for a family who appreciates his gentle heart, charming wiggles, and desire to be someone’s special companion. If you think Lloyd might be your perfect match, we’d love for you to meet him!
