My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Looking for a dog who is equal parts snuggle bug and playtime pro? TT might just be your perfect match! This 1-year-old Heeler mix hails from a reservation in Utah and brings a whole lot of heart in a perfectly compact 30-pound package.

TT’s soft, fluffy coat is made for cuddling, and she lives for ear scratches and cozy snuggle sessions. She’s gentle and affectionate with her people, but don’t let that fool you — when it’s time to play, she’s got moves! TT loves a good rough-and-tumble wrestle with her foster dog siblings and will need to be in a home with another playful, active pup who can keep up with her energy and rough play.

She’s crate trained, house trained, and working hard on her leash skills — and with how smart and eager she is, she’s catching on fast!

If you’re ready for a lovable fluffball who will be your hiking partner by day and cuddle companion by night, TT is ready to join your pack!

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting TT, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-application. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
