Meet Bobby! Bobby is a small ball of energy who is looking for an active home who will give him lots of play time, enrichment, and all of the toys he can get his paws on. Bobby may be nervous when he is first meeting you but with time and patience he warms up and becomes a wiggle worm of joy who just wants to be all over you. Bobby is young and would benefit greatly from positive reinforcement training and getting on a schedule to get his potty training all set and started. Bobby would love to meet you and come home and be best friends with you soon!
Ready to Adopt?
You have two options:
#1- VISIT IN PERSON
Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter.
(Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)
#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD**
If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.
**Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events.

All adult dog adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations
- heartworm test
-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-microchip implanted & registered to adopter
-treatment of fleas & ticks
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
