Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Chloe!
Chloe is a senior girl with a whole lot of heart and a very classic “old lady” vibe. She can be incredibly sweet and friendly, especially with people she trusts, and she still enjoys attention and gentle affection.
That said, Chloe is a senior, and she has her moments—she likes things on her terms, appreciates her space, and isn’t afraid to let you know when she’s had enough. She’s not looking for chaos or constant activity; she’d much prefer a calm, predictable home where she can relax and be appreciated for who she is.
Chloe would do best with someone who understands seniors and respects boundaries—someone who sees the beauty in a dog who’s lived a full life and just wants peace, comfort, and a little love.

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.

More about this shelter
The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
