My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐱🐱 Cat-friendly 🐱🐱

Is the news of the world just too much to take these days? And you’re looking for a new way to cope? You need a Brandy girl in your life!

A few gentle kisses from her and maybe some silly playtime, and you’ll realize that you already have all the world and all the news you need right here in front of you.

Brandy is a petite little thing, under 20 pounds, and she’s a 7-year-old Terrier and Short-Coat Chihuahua mix. She’s got a creamy-colored soft and scruffy coat, plus a cute furry face that you can arrange into different expressions to suit your mood.

She is affectionate and people-oriented and likes to snuggle close and get pets. If you pause your petting or forget that she likes it, she’ll put a paw on you to remind you. She is playful and has a silly side too, so let your stress go and just laugh with her. When it’s rest time or at night, she’ll seek out people to cuddle with, if you like.

Once she’s comfortable with them, Brandy will play with other dogs. She might avoid them at first, but with proper space and time, she’ll come around and make friends. She lives with cats and does just fine.
All of this little lady’s wonderfulness will shine through in a patient and calm home. She can be startled by noises and sudden movements, so any place that those kinds of things don’t happen often will be ideal for her. She is submissive and is most likely to hide or submit in fear when afraid.

You’ve already forgotten the bad headlines while reading about her, haven’t you? Come and meet your Brandy!

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and current on heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $225. Apply to adopt her today at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
