My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐱🐱🐈 Cat-friendly 🐈🐱🐱

When working from home, wouldn’t it be nice to have some “Sun” while you work? You go into the office, how about coming home to some “Sun” ☀️shining bright to welcome you home?

We have the solution, and his name is…you guessed it…SUN! This 5-month-old mixed-breed boy, with a mellow, loving personality, currently weighs 24 pounds and is expected to reach 40-50 pounds at full grown.

Sun is a low-energy pup. He doesn’t have a ton of energy. Once he has had some playtime, he is ready for his nap. Aren’t we all? He gets along well with his dog friends and is very respectful toward the senior cat in his foster home. This sweet boy is a bit shy at first, but adults and kids who allow him time to warm up are welcome into his circle of trust. He loves those toys that squeak and chew on his yummy bones.

Sun knows the commands sit and kennel. He could use more work on his leash skills and would benefit from additional training. After all, this little guy is still a pup and needs to learn all the big-dog skills it takes to be the goodest boy. Sun sleeps in his crate at night and keeps it spik and span.

This cuddle bug would do just fine in a home with dog siblings as long as they don’t mind some close snuggling. Sun would also do well if he were a single dog, just as long as his humans don’t mind him just scooching in right next to them…or on them!

Sun is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee is $175. Apply at PawsitiveTailsKC.org; once approved, a meet-and-greet will be scheduled.

Wanna know the best part? Even when it's cloudy outside, you will have your very own ‘Sun’!

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
