My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐱🐱Cat-friendly 🐱🐱

Snoop Dog just wants to be next to his people, burrowed under a warm blanket. Us too, Snoop!

He is the sweetest, most loving little guy, a 7-year-old Dachshund who weighs 13 pounds (and he could stand to gain a pound or two). Those ears, and that nose…*swoon* he is so cuh-yoot!

Snoop Dog is fantastic on a leash, and he loves to go for a walk (a little less enthusiastically in bad weather, if he’s being honest about it). He’ll get the zoomies when you play with him, and it’s so fun to see those little legs go, go, go.

He is great with kids and gets along really well with other dogs and cats. He can be a bit shy, and being around the other animals gives him confidence. A busy, chaotic household might not be the best for him, but he’s all right with a moderate amount of activity.

At night, he sleeps happily all night, either in his crate or in bed with his people. He is house-trained and crate-trained.

Snoop Dog is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and current on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives. His adoption fee is $225. Apply to adopt him at PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
