Meet Fressi (also known as Fresita), the petite red Husky!
Fressi is a very special dog who was flown to Colorado on a freedom flight from an overcrowded shelter in San Francisco, and is now ready to find her forever home. She's 1 year old and weighs 45 lbs.; and she's spayed, microchipped, housetrained, good on leash, good with kids and other dogs.
Fressi is incredibly sweet and affectionate. She adores other dogs and has excellent social skills. She's energetic, but can also be a chill officemate, cuddle bug. She’s good on leash and is learning not to pull when she sees a bunny, deer or fox.
Fressi’s dream home: Outdoor area with acreage or a fenced yard with adopters who can take her on long hikes, trail walks and eventually mountain adventures would be ideal. (We’re saying no condos or apartments for this active girl.)
She would like her person to be home more often than not. She's love to find a home with another dog companion OR have nearby dog friends.
She loves people and needs active folks who like outdoor time and will commit to continuing her training. She has the potential to be the BEST dog because she is super smart and sweet!
Fressi is a prize-winning example of what makes dogs awesome, and everyone is smitten with this special little lady. She deserves to find her way to a permanent home where she is loved, cherished and can reach her full potential.
For more info and/or to apply to adopt Fresi, send us an email at SummitDogRescue@gmail.com, telling us a bit about yourself, your home environment and your lifestyle. A volunteer will get back to you shortly. Thanks.

Additional adoption info
First you must fill out an application which we will review. Then we will do a phone interview, reference check and finally a home visit before a dog is placed in your home. We ONLY adopt to homes where the dog is an indoor dog, part of the family and treated as such. We stress excellent nutrition, proper training and follow up with all our adopters.
We are probably have one of the more thorough and difficult adoption processes... and we love that people want to adopt and don't want to discourage adopters! So please, if you're in a hurry, or not an exceptional furever home - please try other rescues or a SHELTER is a great option too!
