My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ghost

Ghost is a loving, playful, and downright charming pup who brings a sweet mix of goofiness and affection everywhere he goes. His foster mom says he has this adorable habit of “cat-rubbing” on your legs—he’ll gently lean or wiggle against you just like a cat asking for love. It’s impossible not to smile when he does it.

This boy is still very much a puppy at heart. He loves to play, plop himself right onto your feet, and even sit on his dog friends’ faces mid-playtime (they don’t seem to mind—he’s just being Ghost!). He soaks up attention, enjoys being close, and always finds a way to sneak in a cuddle.

Ghost is amazing with other dogs and great with kids. He’s also been around horses and ducks and does wonderfully with them too! His gentle spirit really shines around all kinds of animals.

He can be a little skittish with loud noises, but his reaction is just to duck his head and trot to his kennel for a sense of safety. With reassurance and consistency, he’ll continue growing more confident.

Ghost is sweet, funny, social, and full of love—everything you could want in a companion. He’s ready to bring joy, laughter, and loyalty to a forever family of his very own.

Additional adoption info

All dogs receive appropriate DHLPP and Bordetella (as well as a booster for both). They get dewormed, they get rabies, and get a 4DX test to make sure they are heartworm free as well as free of other tick borne illnesses. If they are sick, we get them the medical treatment they need for whatever the issue is. If they need a dental, we get the dental done and if they have any known injuries we address that with a vet and provide necessary treatment. ALL pets get completely vetted and sterilized before being listed for adoption. We require an initial phone call interview and then a FaceTime call to meet the potential adopter and for them to meet the dog. This is also how we perform a home check. We require personal references as well as a vet reference. We will not adopt to a home that cannot provide these references. Our goal is to help as many homeless dogs get out of Texas and to loving forever homes!

More about this rescue

We pull dogs from the local shelters who are in need of placement as well as dogs that are on the euthanasia list. We help people who have found stray dogs and are willing to foster and we also save dogs directly from the streets. When we can, we help owners who need to surrender their pet so we can find that fur baby a good loving home.
