My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

#A5735522 Meet Zion , an  8-month-old German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix pup, like a fluffy little marshmallow with a plush cream coat and dark, expressive eyes that will steal your heart in an instant. ❄️ He’s very scared in his kennel.  He clearly does not want to be here and it’s heartbreaking, because his previous owners gave up on him while he’s still just a baby with his whole life ahead of him. Right now, Zion is in full flight mode, needing someone gentle and patient to show him that the world isn’t so frightening and that there are good people he can trust. With a slow, thoughtful approach, confidence building, and tons of TLC, this sweet boy has so much potential to blossom into an incredible companion. He just needs a hero willing to help him feel safe, seen, and loved. Will you be that person for Zion?

-8 month old white German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix

-66 pound neutered male

-up to date on all shots and preventatives, so ready to go home with you today!

-came to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on 10/28/25 as an owner surrender

-Zion is urgent given how long he’s been at the shelter, and we have no idea why he was surrendered, as he’s the goodest of boys!

More about this rescue

United Hope for Animals is a 501c3 non-profit organization committed to creating a world where our relationship with animals is guided by compassion and responsibility. We actively work toward bringing an end to the needless suffering of companion animals through community-based programs here at home and across the border.

The United States euthanizes more than one million dogs and cats each year. Through our Shelter Support Program, we work in partnership with local shelters to reduce this number by raising public awareness about shelter adoption and facilitating rescue and adoption of sheltered animals. In the process, we bring dignity and hope to the many lives that would otherwise pass anonymously through the animal control system.
