Titus is a 6½-year-old Black Labrador Retriever / mixed breed weighing 50 pounds with a gentle soul and a resilient heart. He came to the shelter after being surrendered by his family, who were worried he needed surgery they could not afford. After veterinary evaluation, it turned out Titus did not need surgery and instead appeared to have a chronic ear issue, which is currently being treated.
While there’s no way to predict whether Titus may have related medical issues in the future, he is currently doing well and enjoying life. Titus will need an adopter who understands this uncertainty and is able and willing to provide medical care should any issues arise down the road.
Mature dogs like Titus often make wonderful companions—calm, loyal, and deeply appreciative of a loving home.
✔️ Vaccinated ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Neutered
If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are prepared to support him through whatever the future holds, Titus may be the perfect match for you.

More about this shelter
Norman Animal Welfare is a municipal shelter operated and funded by the City of Norman, Oklahoma. In addition to providing a safe environment for our adoptable animals we also are responsible for the enforcement of all animal related laws within the City of Norman and holding all stray animals that are located. In addition to these main roles, we also provide public microchipping, city pet licensing, and other educational services to our community.
We average approximately 3,400 animals in and out of our facility each year. We have an amazing facility that fully opened in 2016. We operate daily with a very limited staff supported by several amazing volunteers. We operate an active foster program and are always seeking to work with those in our community interested in assisting us in our mission.
