Meet Mallorn! A spirited 54lb, 7-year-old Labrador Retriever with a heart as big as his bark is soft. Found wandering the streets as a stray, Mallorn came to the shelter unsure of his new surroundings. He was a bit skittish at first, but with patience, kindness, and—let’s be honest—a few tasty treats, he quickly blossomed into the sweet, people-loving pup he truly is. Mallorn gets along well with other dogs and is easygoing. He walks beautifully on a leash, listens attentively, and is highly treat-motivated—making training a breeze. In fact, this clever boy already knows several tricks and is always eager to show them off if you’ve got a snack in hand. Despite being 7, Mallorn is playful, active, and full of joyful energy. Whether it’s a romp in the yard, a stroll around the neighborhood, or learning a new trick, he’s your guy. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only. Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
