My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Katydid. Small body. Big opinions. Very clear priorities.
Katydid has met other dogs. She listened. She observed. She was not impressed.
It’s not personal. She simply prefers to focus her energy where it matters most: her people, belly rubs, and snack time.
While some dogs collect canine friendships like trading cards, Katydid is more of a one-on-one type. She shines brightest when she doesn’t have to compete for attention, or a place in blanket mountain (which she loves fresh from the dryer).
Katydid is petite, thoughtful, and the kind of dog who doesn't need her presence to overwhelm the room.. She’s not here for chaos or group projects. She's the Ethel to your Lucy. The Kimmy Gibbler to your DJ. The Sam to your Carly. She’s here for quiet companionship, shared routines, and the unspoken agreement that you’ve got each other’s backs.
If you’re someone who’s been thinking, “I don’t really want to manage multiple dogs,” or “I’d love a dog who’s all in on me,” Katydid would like you to know she feels the same way. And if being someone’s whole world sounds like your kind of thing, Katydid is ready to take the job seriously.
Katydid’s adoption fee has been sponsored, in loving memory of Olive.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is easy! No home visits, no reference checks. We have many dogs and cats available for adoption.
Our adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, microchip & registration, basic vaccines, rabies vaccine (4 months and older), age-appropriate blood testing (6 months and older), flea/tick/heartworm treatments, and deworming.
As a non-profit organization, our adoption fees help us to offset some of these costs.

Note - you must be 18 years or older to adopt.
