My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rita!

Rita is a 3-year-old Mini Goldendoodle weighing in at 26 lbs — the perfect mix of compact and cuddly! She has a bright, happy personality and lots of energy, making her a wonderful companion for an active adopter. Rita loves to run, play, and explore, so a fenced yard where she can safely zoom around would be a dream come true.

She is bonded with her best friend, Mickey, and the pair will need to be adopted together. Rita’s playful spirit, affectionate nature, and sweet temperament make her an absolute joy to be around.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
