My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nero, a gorgeous calico girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She’s the kind of cat who forms an instant connection with people — warm, social, confident, and endlessly affectionate. Nero is a true “Velcro cat”: if you’re home, she wants to be near you; if you sit down, she’ll quietly climb into your lap and settle in like she owns the place. She doesn’t just enjoy human company — she thrives on it. New people aren’t strangers to her, just future friends she hasn’t cuddled yet.

Nero is playful, lively, and full of curiosity. Give her a wand toy and she’ll turn into a tiny athlete, pouncing and chasing with joyful energy. When she’s not busy chasing her toys, she loves to sit by the window and watch birds with deep fascination, as if she’s tuning into her favorite TV show. She has all the classic charm of a calico — expressive, spirited, sweet, and just the right amount of dramatic in a completely endearing way.

Because she bonds so strongly with humans, Nero would be happiest as the only pet in the home. She was a bit stressed around other cats in the shelter and according to the previous owner, she doesn't get along well with other cats or dogs. It is unknown whether she does well with kids.

Nero is looking for a home where someone is around often and where she can share her days with the people she loves. She wants a family who will welcome her into their routines — someone whose lap she can warm during work calls and whose evenings she can fill with purrs and playful antics. If you’ve been dreaming of a cat who is affectionate, interactive, and truly connected to her humans, Nero might just be the perfect little soulmate waiting to join your life.
