My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Come meet me and 100+ of my adoptable friends at Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue's MEGA adoption event, Home for the Holidays! Saturday, December 13th, 2025 at Paradise Island in Staten Island from 11am - 3pm!

Meet Ice Cream!

Ice Cream is a 3 month-old, tiny-but-mighty Domestic Shorthair kitten who is as playful as she is affectionate. She’s bold, courageous, and the first to explore anything new — whether that’s a crinkly toy, a cozy blanket fort, or the top of the couch!

A perfect day for Ice Cream includes pouncing on toys, chasing her foster siblings, and curling up for soft cuddles once she’s tired herself out. She may be a baby, but she already has her superpowers: she’s fully litter-trained, endlessly curious, and brave enough to make friends with both the resident cat and the foster dog!

Some of Ice Cream’s favorite things include batting around anything that moves, discovering new hiding spots, and getting gentle pets after a good play session.

If you’re looking for a confident, adventurous, sweet kitten who will follow you around and melt right into your arms, Ice Cream might be your perfect match!

Ice Cream is currently being fostered in Queens, NY, and her adoption fee is $200.

Kittens are only adopted in pairs or to homes with other friendly, social pets. They are very social by nature and need to be with other pets for their socialization.

Ice Cream's adoption fee is $200; to adopt a pair of kittens, the combined adoption fee is $325.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, up to date on flea and tick preventative, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. All adults are combo tested; for some litters of kittens who have not been exposed to other cats, only one kitten in the litter may be tested. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and helps us continue rescuing animals.

For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the pet you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible.

We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
