At just 10 months old and 9 adorable pounds, Turkey may be small in size, but she’s overflowing with joy, sweetness, and pure puppy charm! With her soft poodle-mix curls and bright, expressive eyes, she’s the kind of girl who can melt hearts before she even wiggles her way into your lap.
Playful and full of life, Turkey LOVES playing with other dogs and never met a toy she didn’t immediately declare her new best friend. She follows her foster family from room to room like their loyal little shadow, always hoping for a cuddle, a pat, or a chance to show off her signature move — hopping and bounding like a tiny lamb whenever she’s excited. It’s impossible not to smile!
Turkey is crate trained and doing great as she continues working on her housebreaking skills. She’s as smart as she is sweet, and with consistency and praise, she’ll keep making fantastic progress.

Hay Dude Equine Rescue, in Boerne, TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs, are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each pup comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, microchipped, heartworm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.

(1) promote and educate the public on horse slaughter and equine abuse
(2) Rescue, retrain and rehome slaughter bound, abused, or neglected horses
(3) educate the public on proper horse care and husbandry
(4) offer assistance to equine owners in times of natural or personal disaster
(5) rehabilitate neglected and abused equines
(6) accept donations of rehomeable equines for adoption and placement
(7) adopt equines into thoroughly vetted homes
