🌙 Meet Midnight — The Little Black Dog With Ears for DAYS! 🌙

Midnight is a 1-year-old female/spayed Chihuahua mix with the kind of ears that could absolutely pick up satellite radio. Seriously — these ears do NOT quit! 🖤👂✨

This beautiful jet-black girl weighs about 17 pounds and found herself alone as a stray before entering the County Shelter. It was overwhelming and scary for a young dog, but thankfully Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows stepped in to give her the second chance she deserved.

Midnight has had a rough start, and she can be a little worried when meeting new people — but she is coming around beautifully with patience and gentle handling. Once she feels safe, her sweet personality begins to shine through.

She just needs someone who will give her the space, understanding, and consistency to build trust. And in return? You’ll get a loyal little friend with enough ear expression to keep you laughing every single day.

Midnight is current on vaccinations, microchipped, and absolutely ready for a home where she can finally feel secure and loved.

And… did we mention the EARS?

Our dogs are at our adoption events held twice a month, weather permitting. Please visit website or Facebook for details on dates.

Additional adoption info

Adoption applications are required; we do home checks. We request that if you are interested to adopt, please complete an application and return vis email or bring to adoption event. We hold monthly adoption events since all of our dogs are in foster homes. We don’t have a location or building.

Go meet their pets

Our dogs are in foster care; however, we do have adoption events and post the information on our web page and on Facebook.

Our dogs come to events at Petsmart stores. We are located in front of the store, look for adoption trailer and play yard. This will ensure your opportunities to meet the available dogs.

We are a 5013c non-profit Nevada corporation. We educate and help people with Chihuahuas and Chi-mixes along with other small dogs. We rehabilitate many of the small dogs to help them overcome some fears frequently or the distrust of humans. We help them learn to trust people again.
